The Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers (NIMechE), Ilorin Chapter, in collaboration with the Illiasu Ibrahim Foundation, is set to hold the grand finale of its Fundamental Quiz and Innovation Challenge on Wednesday, October 22, 2025.
The competition, themed Innovation and Opportunity: Charting the Future Prospect of Mechanical Engineering, is designed to inspire creativity, technical competence, and innovative thinking among young and aspiring mechanical engineers.
According to the organizers, the challenge comprises an individual online quiz and a Departmental Technical Paper Presentation, both aimed at assessing participants’ grasp of engineering fundamentals and their ability to propose practical solutions to real-world problems.
