It was a blissful moment on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, as the Women in Technical Education ( WITED ) of The Federal Polytechnic Offa branch took the international women’s day celebration down to the street of Offa Local Government to celebrate womanhood.
The WITED, Fedpoffa Branch in their large numbers turned out for the early morning road-walk from the Polytechnic mini campus to Olofa’s palace on a courtesy visit to the Royal Highness, Oba Mufutau Gbadamosi Okikiola Ajagungbade 1, Esuwoye Il, and his queen, Olori Mishturah to celebrate with the queen and great women in Ibolo kingdom.
The Chairperson of WITED, FEDPOFFA, Mrs. Alawaye in her address said the courtesy visit was to appreciate the efforts of the queen as the royal mother in the land towards the support of women in Offa.
She added that the WITED deemed it fit to visit the palace as radiant women doing great things in the Polytechnic which is a result of Olofa’s peaceful reign. She, therefore, urged the queen to continue with her unrelenting support for women’s upbringing and empowerment in the community.
While delivering Olofa’s goodwill message, a media aide to the monarch, Babatunde Odidere congratulated FEDPOFFA women on their acceleration, he added that Olofa of Offa is always in support of women in the community as there are lots of women organizations in the community that is benefitting from Royalty.
Odidere however acknowledged the quality of staff the Polytechnic is blessed with which has been moving the institution forward in all ramifications.
