This initiative marks another milestone in YOWICAN’s efforts to empower Christian youth through financial, educational, and entrepreneurial initiatives.
The event, held at St. Barnabas Cathedral Church in Ilorin, was attended by state executives, bloc leaders, local government coordinators, beneficiaries, and community leaders.
In his keynote address, the Chairman of YOWICAN Kwara State, Evangelist Stephen Adeola Awoyale, emphasized the importance of education in fulfilling God’s purpose. “Education is not just a means of acquiring knowledge but a tool for fulfilling God’s purpose in our lives.

By investing in the education of our youth, we are building a brighter future for individuals, the Church, and society,” he stated.
YOWICAN’s Empowerment Scheme has achieved significant milestones in the past, including:
– Phase I: Supported 50 young entrepreneurs with cash grants of ₦30,000 each and donated five sewing machines to promote skills acquisition.
– Phase II: Provided financial support to over 20 students in higher institutions, covering tuition fees of ₦40,000 each.
The Chairman unveiled plans for the establishment of a YOWICAN House, which will serve as a center for mentorship, training, and administrative activities. Additionally, Phase III aims to expand vocational training programs to equip more youth with sustainable livelihoods.
Evangelist Awoyale called on the government, philanthropists, and stakeholders to continue supporting the initiative through financial contributions, prayers, and active participation.
