Youth Empowerment: Ilorin South LGA Trains 150 Youths on Skill Acquisition

Department of Education and Social Services, Ilorin South local government, Kwara state on Sunday flag off one-week skill acquisition for 150 youth in the local government as part of its efforts to arrest youth restiveness and idleness

Speaking during the flagging off ceremony TIC Chairman of Ilorin South LG, Hon Zubair Sulu Gambari said youth leaders, women leaders, and religious leaders in the communities were

involved in the screening of the beneficiaries

He said the beneficiaries would receive one week of training in Paint Production, Commodity Production, Chalk Making, Home Appliance, and Culinary Training

this program is being organized to compliment the efforts of Gov AbdulRazaq cardinal objective of reducing unemployment among our teeming youths in the state

Declaring open the Empowerment Programme, Chairman of Kwara SUBEB Professor AbdulRaheem Adaramaja noted that the importance of this program is to see Ilorin South LG prosper, however, commended the laudable effort of the organizer of the program and urge other LGs to emulate the good gesture

Supervising Councillor for Education and Social Services Hajia Kuburat Abdullateef while speaking to Just Event Online News said these training and skills acquisition programs will create opportunities for the future of the teaming youths of Ilorin South,

We want to create future entrepreneurs and business gurus through this skills acquisition program.

After the intensive training, we want to see our vision manifest right within the local government and beyond
