Amidst fanfare, family, colleagues, friends and well wishers of Amb. Abdulfatai Yahaya Seriki gathered to celebrate the influential politician on the occasion of his 48th birthday.
A special Birthday prayer organized by Yahaya Seriki Foundation on Sunday, held at his residence, Peace Street, Awolowo Road, Tanke, Ilorin, Kwara State.
Speaking with Journalists, the celebrant, Yahaya Seriki appreciated Almighty Allah for being alive. He equally expressed heartfelt gratitude to his parents, ever committed supporters, and all the attendees of the occasion. He fervently prayed for Allah’s blessings to fulfill their hearts’ desires.
In a remarkable pledge of support for the youth, Yahaya Seriki affirmed his commitment to their development.
He stated, “I firmly believe that the youth hold the key to changing the world. To support my fellow youth, I am dedicating a substantial sum of N250 million for upcoming employment opportunities in the coming weeks. This initiative aims to transform individuals into millionaires. We will continue to give back to the community.”
He also lauded the executive Governor of Kwara state, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq for youth inclusiveness in his administration and charged the youths to be consistent and courageous in their dealings and make the state and world a better place.
Hon. Muktar Tolani Shagaya, member representing Ilorin West/Asa Federal constituency, while expressing his admiration for the respected leader, described Yahaya Seriki as a leader and fantastic individual, who at his core is an Ilorite who seeks for the development and betterment of Ilorin Emirate and Kwara as a whole.
Also speaking, Honorable Suleiman Lekan Gadaff expressed gratitude for Ambassador Yahaya Seriki’s unwavering commitment to the betterment of the youth, describing him as a friendly and dedicated individual, a true champion for youth empowerment.
Barrister Kunle Suleiman, an elder statesman noted that God singled out Yahaya Seriki among his peers and blessed him with resources and capacity, he prayed for more blessings on him.
On his part, Alh Garba Adebayo, (Mr B-Tech) avered that the celebrant is a phenomenal human being who has touched people’s lives positively. He urged other philanthropists to emulate his modesty, patriotism, and selfless act, so as to make the country a better place.
