A 31-year-old mother of two girls, Yetunde Balogun has allegedly committed suicide in Ilorin, Kwara State Capital on Monday
The victim who, until the moment of her death lived in Ara-Oje Compound in Ilorin West Local Government Area of the State
Report gathered by Just Event Online TV revealed that the late Yetunde bought the poison (DD Force) she took to terminate her life
Speaking with journalists concerning the sad incident, Alhaji Labi Ara Oje, the deceased husband’s uncle said, on the day of the incident the husband suddenly rushed out and called their attention that his wife has taken poison. He added that she was immediately rushed to Kwara State Teaching Hospital, adding that on getting there the doctors attended to her on the spot before she was confirmed dead
“On getting to Adeta Roundabout she started vomiting and apologizing to her husband, as she confessed that she took the poison”
The shop owner where she bought the poison (DD Force) Nimotallahi Ajibola Adio has been taken into the police custody for further investigation
Responding to journalists, Adio Tajudeen, husband of the shop owner maintained that his wife saw her for the first time on Monday when she came to buy DD force
“My wife does not even know her, She just came to buy it as she was directed to come to her shop”
At the time of filing this report, the investigation is still ongoing as her remains have been deposited in the mortuary for an autopsy.
As at time of filing this report, effort to reach Yetunde’s family proved abortive.
