The Transition Implementation Committee, (TIC) Chairman of Ilorin South Local Government Area of Kwara State, Hon. Sulu Gambari Aiki Zubair has disclosed the reasons behind his conferment as the Best Performing TIC Chairman of the Year 2021 by a leading Non-Governmental Organization based in Kwara State, Nurtured Mindset Foundation
He said, “When I came on board as the TIC Chairman of Ilorin South local government many things were down from Education, Health, Infrastructure, Payment of Staff Salaries, etc, our administration took the bull by its horn to tackle all the challenges facing our facing dear local government.
With the little time spent in the office, we have reconstructed many health centers, connected many communities to the national grid by providing them transformers, grading some roads, we have empowered 150 youth on skill acquisition which they were trained and given working tools, currently, My administration built 5 primary schools, distributed free exercise books to all primary schools pupils in the LG, renovated more than 10 schools we are building 108 ultra-modern shops along offa garage area that will serve our people and will also generate revenue for the council, our administration distributed waste bin to strategic places in 11 wards to curb dumping of refuse among others. What we have done in this short is unprecedented in our local government,” he added.
Hon Sulu Gambari commended the organizers of the award for recognizing his giant strides in bringing lost glory back to Ilorin South,
All these can’t be achieved without the support of the workaholic governor, Mallam AbdulRazaq AbdulRahman, he came at the time Kwara and Kwarans needed him, he said.
On his part, the chairman of the Nurtured Mindset Foundation said the Ilorin South merits the award and urges other TIC Chair to emulate the good work happening in Ilorin South local government
