The New Nigeria Peoples Party has suspended its National Secretary, Oladipupo Olayokun, for alleged anti-party activities among others.
Olayokun, who is also a member of the National Working Committee of the NNPP, was suspended by the executive members of his local constituency in Ward 5, Abeokuta South Local Government Area of Ogun State.
His suspension was contained in a letter addressed to Olayokun dated August 6 and titled, “Notice of Suspension”.
The letter, which contained his sanction, was officially signed by 25 members of the executive team of the ward, including 25 other ward members.
The NNPP presidential candidate in the last election, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, and the founder of the party, Dr. Boniface Aniebonam were sent a copy of the letter for Olayokun’s suspension.
In the letter, Olayokun was accused of involvement in anti-party activities, negligence of duty and encouraging factionalism in the party.
The party also accused Olayoku as the mastermind of the crisis in Ogun NNPP.
