The Federal Polytechnic, Bida, Niger State, last week hosted members of the Board of Trustees (BOT) of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), who paid a working visit to inspect and commission several completed and ongoing TETFund-sponsored projects across the institution.
This was contained in a press statement made available to Just Event Online TV
The delegation, led by Engr. Nurudeen Adeyemi, the BOT representative for the North Central Zone, expressed satisfaction with the quality and execution of the projects, describing them as “money well spent.”
During the visit, the BOT team inspected and commissioned the following projects:
- Shea Butter Works Building
- Rehabilitation of the Polytechnic Entrepreneurship Centre
- Mass Communication Departmental Staff Office Complex
- Academic Staff Office Complex
Speaking after the inspection, Engr. Adeyemi commended the Polytechnic’s management for its prudent and transparent use of TETFund resources. He particularly praised the upgraded facilities at the Directorate of Entrepreneurship Education and Development (DEED), describing them as “excellent models” for other institutions across Nigeria.
“Going round the various projects, it is clear that the resources were used judiciously,” he said. “I want to particularly single out the DEED — almost all the units now have modern facilities. On behalf of TETFund, we say well done.”
The visit underscored TETFund’s ongoing commitment to promoting infrastructural growth and academic excellence across Nigeria’s tertiary institutions, while reaffirming the Federal Polytechnic, Bida’s reputation as one of the leading beneficiaries of the Fund’s developmental interventions.
