The Campaign Council of the Kwara central senatorial candidate for New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Hon. Aiyelabegan Kayode Abdul Goga has lifted the suspension on its political engagements earlier observed in honour of the deceased prominent descendants of Ilorin emirate.
The campaign was put in abeyance in the quest to mourn the heartrending loss of the noble personalities who passed on in close proximity among whom were; the Vice Chancellor of Kwara State University (Kwasu), Prof. Mustapha Mohammed Akanbi; Hon. Justice Titi Daibu; Alhaji Isiaka Anafi Aberi, Dr. Abdulganeey Abdulbaki all of whom died in nobility with impressive records of service to humanity and their community.
The Council, through its Director General, Alhaji Musa Alatare, announced the resumption of the political activities, asserting that the frenetic pace at which what he described as people-focused agenda is gaining traction underscores an auspicious sign of victory in the forthcoming election.
” Goga is an outstanding candidate of unrivalled qualities whose sterling career success, enviable records of service and robust pedigree bear testimonials to his capacity, commitment, and competence to represent the people fairly and bring them expected ends.”
Speaking further, Alatare, expressed sadness over the successive deaths of the illustrious scions of the emirate, describing them as accomplished individuals who carved out an enviable reputation for themselves in their respective careers.
” We are consoled by the fulfilled lives laden with sterling achievements that the deceased exemplified. They will be sorely missed for their respective contributions to the human capital development and socio-economic advancement of the society.”
” As we intend to again extend commiserations to the immediate family of the deceased, the Emir of Ilorin, His Royal Highness, Dr. Ibrahim Zulu Gambari and the entire Ilorin emirate, we pray Almighty God grants their soul eternal rest, even as He imbues everyone with the strength to cope with the pain of the irredeemable loss.”
