Members of the Kwara state chapter of the Nigeria Labour Congress and it’s Trade Union Congress counterpart on Wednesday Joined other members in observing nationwide protest against anti- poor policies of president Bola Tinubu’s administration, among which is the removal of fuel subsidy which has posed alot of hardship in the country
The members were seen on the street of Ilorin, the State capital in the early hours of the day with placards of different inscriptions
Among their demands is to improve the wellbeing of Nigerians as it frowned against the policies of the president
They advised the FG to release 8 months withheld salaries of univarsity lecturers and workers.
The labour members equally urged the government to fix the refineries and built another ones
Kwara NLC Chairman, Comr Muritala while handing over the Kwara Labour demands to the State Deputy Governor, Kayode Alabi, urged the government to meet their demands to avert further actions
However, Mr. Kayode Alabi who spokeon behalf of governor AbdulRaman AbdulRazaq beseeched the union to be more patients. He assured them that the Tinubu led government will not let them down. He assured them that positive steps will be taken as regards their demands
He equally promised that Kwara State government will do it best to compliment the efforts of FG in ensuring quality life and wellbeing of the citizens.
