Shagaya calls for peace at Mandate Market, applauds State Government on quick intervention

 

The House of Representatives Member-elect, Asa/Ilorin West Constituency, Mallam Muktar Tolani Shagaya has enjoined the marketers and traders in Mandate market, Ilorin, to embrace peaceful coexistence in order to ensure economic prosperity and stability in Ilorin metropolis and Kwara state at large.

Shagaya, in a statement issued through his media office, said “The incident that occurred in the early morning of Saturday 25th of March, at Mandate market in Ilorin is nothing short of unfortunate. A security threat to one single person is a threat to everyone. I enjoin our marketers to abide by the directives of the state government and for their utmost cooperation while a lasting solution is implemented.”

He, appreciated the state government, security forces and concerned stakeholders for the quick response to resolve the situation.

“I commend the Kwara State Government, Security Personnel, and stakeholders for the responsiveness and intentionality to contain the widespread of the crisis.”.
