In a bid to empower youths and promote agripreneurship in Kwara North Senatorial District, Senator Sulaiman Sadiq Umar has facilitated a comprehensive training program alongside the provision of grants to participants
The Training held on Monday which saw 150 youths across the five local governments consist Kwara North Senatorial District, Edu, Patigi, Moro , Baruten and Kaiama
The initiative, aimed at transforming the agricultural landscape of the region, which featured sessions on cattle farming, with AbdulKareem AbdulAzeez serving as one of the facilitators.
He urged participants to seize the opportunity to revolutionize agriculture in Kwara State and advised them to use the grants wisely, emphasizing that government funds should not be treated as “free money.
This training is expected to enhance agricultural productivity and create a ripple effect of economic growth in Kwara North
Speaking at the event, Ayuba Kazeem, a representative of FADAMA, encouraged the trainees to form clusters and work collaboratively to maximize their impact and sustain their agribusiness ventures.
At the conclusion of the training, each participant received a grant of ₦100,000 to kickstart or expand their agricultural enterprises.
