Afolabi Moses, affectionately known as Indaboski, has carved out a unique path at Lens Polytechnic in Offa, Kwara State, where he balances his academic pursuits with a passion for football and entrepreneurship.

Originally from Atiba Oyo State. Indaboski’s journey into selling yogurt was born out of a necessity to support himself financially without compromising his studies as a student of mass communication or football ambitions. Indaboski shared that the decision to sell yogurt was a strategic one, allowing him the flexibility to pursue his dreams of becoming a professional footballer. “There’s no job on campus that would let me train after classes without constant permission,” he explained. Despite the challenges of making ends meet, Indaboski found support from unexpected corners at Lens Polytechnic. “I make money from yogurt, which isn’t enough for me as a student at this computer age, but Lens Polytechnic has been my backbone,” he said gratefully. “The lecturers and students here—they’ve become like family. They are not only supporting me academically but also encourage my football dreams.” Particularly impactful has been the mentorship of Mr. Adebayo Lukman Alani, a lecturer whose guidance and financial assistance have been instrumental. Reflecting on his journey, Indaboski emphasized the profound influence Lens Polytechnic has had on his personal and professional growth. “I started with ND and am now in HND 2, feeling like I’ve found my place. I will miss Lens Polytechnic after graduation,” he shared. “Selling yogurt among over 10,000 students has taught me confidence and resilience.” Looking ahead, Indaboski remains steadfast in his ambitions. “Football is my passion,” he asserted. “I’m looking for someone who believes in me and can help me take my football career to the next level.”

Despite financial challenges, including unpaid school fees for the semester, Indaboski’s determination and the support from Lens Polytechnic continue to fuel his optimism and drive. Indaboski’s story is a testament to resilience and the transformative power of education and community support. As he navigates the challenges of balancing academics, entrepreneurship, and football aspirations, Indaboski remains hopeful and determined to carve out a promising future for himself. His journey at Lens Polytechnic serves as an inspiring example of perseverance and passion in the pursuit of dreams.
