Former President of the Nigerian Senate, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki today graced the fidau prayer of the Olofa of Offa’s mother, Alhaja Hawawu Awele Gbadamosi.
Alhaja Hawawu, mother of the Olofa, HRM Oba Mufutau Gbadamosi Esuwoye II, died last week at a ripe age of 94.
According to his Press Officer on Local Matters, Abdulganiyu Abdulqadir, Dr Saraki, who was accompanied by some stalwarts of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, identified with the monarch, the Olofa in council, the Offa royal family and the people of Offa in general.
He prayed that “Almighty Allah (SWT) continues to grant solace to His Royal Majesty, the entire royal family, and that He grants Mama a place among the righteous in Aljannah Firdaus.”
The Waziri Ngeri of Ilorin also visited the family of late Hon. Morufu Bintinlaye who also died last week.
While commiserating with the Bintinlaye family, Saraki eulogized the late business mogul for his commitment to the progress of Kwara State, especially his beloved Offa and the Ojomu/Balogun Constituency.
This, he said was evident through his lifelong service to his people. “His passing is a great loss to Kwara State and to all who knew him,” he said
While admonishing the family to take solace in the good life he lived, Saraki prayed to Allah to grant the mother, wife and the children fortitude to bear the loss.
He further prayed Almighty Allah (SWT) to forgive his shortcomings and grant him a place amongst the righteous ones in Aljannah Firdaus.
