The Managing Director and Founder of JoshKay & Co Real Estate Company, Dr. Joseph Oni Kayode, made a surprised return to his alma mater, Babalola Memorial CAC Grammar School, Odo Owa, in Oke-Ero Local Government Area of Kwara State, as part of his commitment to community development and educational support.
Dr. Joseph, who graduated from the school in 1996, was received by students and staff during an assembly held in his honour.
Addressing the gathering, he commended the school’s management and teachers for their dedication and resilience over the years.
Just Event Online TV reports, He encouraged students to be good ambassadors of their families and the school, urging them to remember and contribute to their alma mater in the future. “We can make this school great when we remember her for good,” he said.
In a generous gesture, Dr. Joseph announced the full payment of the third-term PTA levy for all junior and senior secondary students to motivate them in their academic pursuits. He also donated sports equipment to the school, recalling his days as a former games prefect.
In a particularly touching moment, Dr. Joseph offered to clear eight terms’ worth of unpaid school fees for a JSS3 student Jimoh Salaudeen and pledged to sponsor the student’s education until graduation.
The Junior and Senior School Principals, Mrs. Adekunle Florence Toyin and Mr. Bankole Benjamin Femi, respectively, lauded the donation and praised Dr. Joseph’s rare display of compassion and community spirit. The school clergy led a special prayer, asking for divine protection and continued blessings upon him.
