The recent article drawing parallels between Governor Yahaya Bello and Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazak, written by one of the dismantled Saraki dynastys midget is a misguided and misleading attempt to tarnish the reputation of the latter. While Governor Bello’s situation is an allegation of corruption and abuse of power, Governor AbdulRazak’s leadership in Kwara State has been marked by transparency, accountability, developmental and progress.
The author’s claims of a “Yahaya Bello playbook” being replicated in Kwara State are unfounded and lack substance. Governor AbdulRazaq’s efforts to ensure a smooth transition and continuity in governance are prudent and lawful, unlike Governor Bello’s desperate attempts to shield himself from justice.
Furthermore, the article’s warnings about “godfatherism” and “impunity” in Kwara State are baseless and inflammatory. Governor AbdulRazaq has demonstrated a commitment to democratic values and the rule of law, unlike Governor Bello’s alleged authoritarian tendencies.
Kwara State citizens should reject this misleading narrative and focus on the progress and development being achieved under Governor AbdulRazak’s leadership. Let us not be swayed by unfounded comparisons and, instead, uphold the truth and integrity in our political discourse.
