As muslims commence 2024 Ramadan amidst high cost of food prices in Nigeria, the Ilorin Emirate Youth Development Association IEYDA has presented food items to indigent in the community as part of efforts to ameliorate the hardship.
Speaking shortly before the presentation, IEYDA Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Uthman Jagunmo said the cash gift was given by some philanthropists in Ilorin Emirate, while commending their gesture which he said was timely and highly appreciated.
In the first phase of the food presentation held at IEYDA secretariat, Aishat Adepate House, Edun Ilorin, rice and cash benefit was presented handsomely to Development Associations under IEYDA and was further extended to the needy in the community.
Food items distributed were; rice, maize, guinea corn as well as cash benefit 10,000 and it cut across five local government Areas that made up of Ilorin Emirate.
