The immediate past Kwara Central Senator, *Dr. Ibrahim Yahaya Oloriegbe* has felicitated Muslim Ummah across Nigeria particularly, the people of Kwara Central senatorial district on the commencement of the holy month of Ramadan signifying the start of the 30-day fasting period.
Oloriegbe in a congratulatory message made available to the public charged the Ummah to make effective use of the sacred month to pray to Allah for divine interventions towards the wellbeing of the country and its people whilst enjoining the well-to-do individuals not to relent in reaching out to the needy as philanthropic gestures become more expedient at this period.
“There can never be a better time for us to seek divine interventions to surmount the challenges bedeviling us as a Nation, more than now, I, therefore call on every one of us to make optimum use of this sacred month to beseech Allah (SWT) for His mercy upon us and our dear Nation so we can outshine this trying period. I also call on the well-to-do individuals in our society to do more for our people at this period as they need us now more than ever before.”
The former lawmaker however greets the Emir of Ilorin, His Royal Highness, *Alh. Ibrahim Sulu Gambari (CFR),* the Muslim Council, and the generality of Ulamah, as he prays to Allah to strengthen them spiritually and otherwise as they guide people in reaping the optimum benefits attached to the holy month.
