The Kwarapreneur Dinner, held on March 28, brought together entrepreneurs from across Kwara State for an evening of networking, knowledge-sharing, and meaningful conversations. Organized by Prof. Abubakar O. Sulaiman, Director General of the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS), the event aimed to foster a stronger entrepreneurial community in the state.

The exclusive gathering, held at the New Flower Garden in GRA, featured an interactive fireside chat where participants shared their experiences, challenges, and concerns. A key issue raised during the discussion was the perceived exclusivity among successful business owners, with some attendees feeling that established entrepreneurs often operate in a closed circle, sidelining emerging players.

However, this view was countered by another entrepreneur, who emphasized the importance of excellence and uniqueness in breaking into the market. “Once you are good at what you do and offer something different, people will begin to recognize your value. The market rewards quality and consistency,” he asserted.

The event also highlighted the importance of mentorship, support networks, and access to business opportunities for small and medium-scale enterprises (SMEs) in Kwara State. Prof. Sulaiman’s passion for entrepreneurship and his efforts to support Kwara and Ilorin indigenes excelling in their businesses were praised by attendees.

The Kwarapreneur Dinner also featured exciting moments, including cash prizes for attendees who actively engaged in the conversations. This gesture reinforced the importance of innovation, enthusiasm, and commitment to business excellence.

Overall, the event served as a significant step toward fostering a stronger entrepreneurial community in Kwara State, with Prof. Sulaiman emphasizing the importance of collaboration, mentorship, and access to opportunities in driving economic growth.
