President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has ordered the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development to reform the housing sector.
Housing and Urban Development Minister Ahmed Dangiwa said this in Abuja when he hosted the president and members of the Nigerian Institute of Building (NIOB) in his office
The mandate includes reforming the Land Use Reform, which his administration said is long overdue.
Dangiwa said his ministry was set to produce an actionable plan to drive the actualisation of the Tinubu administration’s goals.
He said: “When it comes to housing, we are here to solve a lot of problems together. They include the challenges of rapid urbanisation, housing production, mitigating housing deficits in the country, enforcement of housing quality and standards, informal settlements.
