Pray for Gov AbdulRazaq to succeed, Kwara Commissioner urged Kwarans as Hon Asonibare Showcases Developmental Projects in Ifelodun LG


The Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs, and Community Development, in collaboration with the Ifelodun Local Government Council, on Wednesday conducted an inspection and commissioning of various projects by Transition Implementation Committee (TIC) Chairman, Hon. Prince Jide Asonibare.

During the inspection, Hon. John Jide Asonibare, the TIC Chairman of Ifelodun Local Government, highlighted the purpose of showcasing these projects. He expressed that the inspections serve as evidence of the council’s effective work, driven by a mandate from Governor Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq, to ensure democratic dividends reach the grassroots.

Hon Asonibare said the projects showcasing are the efforts of the Ifelodun Local Government to bring about positive change and improve the quality of life for its people

Hon. Asonibare emphasized the positive impact of his administration on the lives of Ifelodun residents, touching on various aspects such as portable water, security, health, education, and infrastructure.

The Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs, and Community Development, Hon. Abubakar Bata, represented by Permanent Secretary Mrs. Modupe Adekeye, commended the TIC Chairman and other council executives for prioritizing the needs of the people. She urged communities benefiting from the projects to take ownership and maintain them for long-term benefits.

Expressing gratitude to Governor AbdulRazaq for his significant contributions to repositioning Kwara, Mrs Adekeye called on Kwarans to support and pray for the success of the administration.

The Olu of Owode Ofaro, HRH Oba Abdulraheem Ayilara Agbe oge Jo II, praised Governor AbdulRazaq for appointing a proud son, Hon. Prince Jide Asonibare, as the TIC Chairman of Ifelodun Local Government. He commended the TIC Chairman for ensuring every community reaps the dividends of democracy and advised him to sustain the momentum for continuous greatness.

Representatives from various communities in their appreciation during the inspection. Magaji Ahmadu Atiko, Mallam Saliu Sulaiman testified to the transformative impact of the solar borehole given to their community, ending decades of water scarcity.

Idofian Youth Leader, Ahmed Abidolu, expressed gratitude for the 60 solar street lights in Idofian, highlighting their role in curbing social vices.

Alhaja Idris Khadijah, Principal of Community Secondary School Ganmo, lauded the TIC Chairman for providing a hand pump borehole, fulfilling a long-standing dream for the school

Baale Okuta Óko, Kareemu Ola appreciated the TIC chairman for the construction of the four blocks of classrooms in their village
