The new Governor of Plateau State, Caleb Mutfwang, on Monday, lamented the state of affairs under his predecessor, Simon Lalong, noting that he inherited a debt burden of N200bn.
Caleb, in his inaugural speech shortly after being sworn as the new governor at the Rwang Pam Township Stadium in Jos, however, said he was ready to change the ugly situation of things and work for the good of the people.
This was as he warned those behind the series of attacks and killings in the state to stop forthwith as his new administration would not tolerate such wicked acts.
The governor noted that the genocidal attacks of the last couple of years had bred hatred, mutual suspicion and misplaced anger in the state.
