The Kwara Youth Focus otherwise known as Yaman Liberation Movement has formally severed ties with the Peoples Democratic Party governorship candidates in Kwara State, Alhaji Abdullahi Shuaib Yaman and the entire party as a result of irreconcilable ideological differences.
While addressing the newsmen on Thursday in Ilorin, the state coordinator of the group, Alh. Abdulkadir AbdulRasak said the decision was reached during the last general meeting of the group had on 15th Dec. 2022, where they quit working for the former patron of the group and PDP gov candidate.
Speaking further, he declared the group’s unwavering support for the All Progressive Congress, Gov AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and other party candidates to ensure their victory in the upcoming general election.
He praised the unprecedented achievements of APC led government in Kwara, ranging from health, education, infrastructure, youth empowerment among others.
“It is important to know that our decision to decamp and register support for APC was predominantly informed by the excellent performance and unprecedented achievements of Governor AbdulRahman.
He described Kwara Youth Focus as a political group that is composed by hardworking, resilient, confident and visionary youths whose knowledge of politics, experience, techniques and methodology will be a meaningful contribution towards attainment political victory of gov AbdulRahman and all party candidates, as he announced Hon. Barr. Soliu Bamidele Aluko as the new patron of the group.
In his remarks, the group secretary,
Comr. Daud Olaitan Ibrahim expressed readiness to work sincerely towards the success of the party
He added that the group has over 120 committed members across the state who are ever ready to ensure the victory of APC in the election
Speaking on behalf of the state governor, Hon. Barr Soliu Bamidele Aluko welcomed the decampees as he promised to deliver their messages to the appropriate quarter.
He urged them to add value to the already committed party, so as to ensure victory in the next elections.
He also charged them to be upright, sincere and committed.
