PDP Oko Erin ward frowns to imposition of candidate


Members of the Kwara State Peoples Democratic Party Oko Erin Ward have expressed dissatisfaction over the imposition of a candidate in their constituency, Magaji Ngeri

People of the constituents which consists of Magaji Ngeri, Baboko, Badari, Oko Erin, and Warah/Osin/Egbejila on Monday, stormed the Ilorin International Airport to express their grievances to the State party leader, President of the 8th Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki

The members who extend their grievances to PDP Secretariat at Fate Junction Ilorin reiterated that the aspirant imposed by the party leaders hailed from Oju Ekun Sarumi and is not their choice

Speaking with Just Event Online, Comrade A.T. Hassan from Oko Erin Ward maintained that the peaceful demonstration is to claim their mandates, as they are being denied their right which has been in existence for long

He said that the House of Assembly Representatives imposed by the party leadership is not from their constituents

Speaking further he said, Hon. Babatunde Salaudeen, who is the people’s choice was denied his right. Adding that he is the right candidate to represent their interest in and out of the constituency

“The protest is been done in favor of the leader, Dr. Bukola Saraki considering what they are facing in Oko Erin ward”

The group however urged Dr. Bukola Saraki to reverse the candidacy with immediate alacrity
