In honour of the 40th anniversary of the Police Community Relation Committee (PCRC), plans are underway to recognize both the sacrifices of police officers’ wives and the contributions of distinguished individuals to society.
The PCRC, in collaboration with the office of the Assistant Auditor General, will present palliatives to the wives of police officers who have tragically lost their lives in service to the nation also awards of honour will be bestowed upon notable figures, including Kwara Commissioner of Police, Victor Olaiya, retired Public Relations Officer of the Kwara Command, Ajayi Okasanmi, legal practitioner and Chairman of Kwara Para Athletics Association, Barrister Aiyelabegan Lanre Abdulkadir, and Dr Murtala Raheem, Personal Assistant to the Emir of Ilorin, among others.
In a press statement released by the National Assistant Auditor General, Alhaji Muhammad Uthman Jagunma confirmed the event’s details. Scheduled for May 3rd, 2024, at the Police Officers Mess GRA Ilorin, the ceremony will commence at 3 pm.
Assistant Auditor General of PCRC, Alhaji Muhammad Uthman Jagunma, said that the initiative aims to honour those who have made immense sacrifices in service to the nation.
