Founder of Kwara Youth Vanguard Alliance (KYVA) Engineer Rilwan Cook Jimoh Amode on Friday, visited Okelele Youth League Summer Lesson where he promised to pay the West African Examination Council WAEC fees for the best student in Senior Secondary School 3 and also award scholarships to the best student in each class from JSS to SSS classes.
President of Okelele Youth League OYUL, Mr AbdulKabir Gatta in his opening speech, commended Engineer Rilwan Cook Amode for his immeasurable efforts towards the 2022 summer lesson, he said the organisation had earlier reached out to Engr. Rilwan Cook to solicit support for the best students and today he has handed over the money for the scholarships and WAEC fees to the organisers of the lesson
He’s one of the stakeholders in the organisation, and we appreciate him for giving back to the community, on behalf of executives and members of OYUL, I pray to Allah to continue to be with him always, he said
Gatta however urged the students to focus on their studies and use the opportunities they were offered to ensure a brighter future for themselves and be good ambassadors of the community and country at large
Speaking earlier, Founder of Kwara Youth Vanguard Alliance (KYVA) Engineer Rilwan Cook Jimoh Amode, said the gesture was devoid of any political undertone, stressing that he was moved to invest in the future of the children because of his love for education and Okelele Community
I am one of the beneficiaries of the OYUL summer lesson, and giving back to OYUL is my topmost priority, he said
Speaking further, We must not only produce educated people in quantity, but we must also produce quality and value-adding educated people
He commended the organisers of the lesson for job weldon and promised to prioritise the development of Okelele and environ
Speaking on behalf of students, Sulaiman A Musa SSS 3 student, commended Engr Rilwan Cook for his love for young ones and pledged to be among those that his WAEC fees will be paid
