The Oro Grammar Old Students Association has expressed deep shock at the sudden demise of the paramount ruler of Oro Kingdom, HRM Oba AbdulRafiu Olaniyi Ajiboye Oyelaran I.
In a statement ussued today by the PRO of the Association, the President, Alhaji Olaiya Lawal, recalled how the late Monarch honoured our alma mater by gracing our 60th anniversary with members of his cabinet. He had earlier hosted us in his Palace during the Royal visit, which was part of the anniversary program. The royal father expressed readiness to always support every effort to uplift the standard of education in Oro Grammar School. He kept this promise till he breathed his last in the early hours of Saturday, 23rd March 2024. Your Royal Highness would be greatly missed.
The President went on to pray for the sons and daughters of Oro Kindgom and the immediate family of the deceased royal father. May Allah grant Oba Oyelaran I aljanah firdaus. Amin
