Telling truth to power is not only noble but patriotic. Is never a crime to be a KWASUBEB staff. Subeb teachers are foundation builders,to learn A-Z is a tedious job between the teachers and the learners. Elementary Knowledge is power to others knowledge building.
We work with different methods of teaching to ensured learners received perfect and effective knowledge. Play away method is like dindinrin ndinrobo ,what a pity!!!!. Upon this, we’re sighted by our government as an irrelevant workers and second class workers in the state.
KWASUBEB workers were the most marginalized workers in the state, Promotion marginalized, Arrears marginalized, TRCN incentive marginalized. Ha ba!!!.
How can you be building a Mansion on a weak foundation? Obviously, it shouldn’t be!! Or less you want the mansion to collapse. Primary education is the foundation to be built for good standard of education in Kwara.
Gov. Abdulrahman, take SUBEB staffs as a paramount and create an enables environment through welfarism that will brings good sustainability. Their welfare should be seen as a priority as they contributed to your election victory with the aimed of better future. Honestly, they are suffering silently. For now your government is yet to be felt by KWASUBEB teachers. We’re still breathing from the past administration as no increment and promotion letters yet.
*As a good listener, as a father to all and as a leader,we are looking up to you. Suggestions to relieved financial burden on local government that will create an avenue for good staffs welfarism
I think in the best interest of moving this state forward especially in the education sector, we need to advice the government on the issue of SUBEB teachers.
Payment of these teachers salary is a serious issue that needs quick attention in order avoid reoccurring of such an ugly situations.
Where I’m concerned is the strength of payment of the SUBEB staffs salary. It is too cumbersome for local governments to bear it alone if at all we want the local government to perform as we expected.
The burden was caused by the past administration by commanding the local government to be paying the upper basic staffs (Jss 1 -Jss 3) salary because of the 9-3-4 system of education introduced in the country.
Regardless of the system introduced, It is the responsibility of the state government for secondary education to be paying the salary of all staffs
Therefore, we need to advice the state government to absorb the upper basic school staffs by paying their salaries. This will actually relieve the local governments in fulfilling their obligations as enshrined in the constitution.
Now that the local governments are receiving their allocation directly as claimed by the authority. It has become a serious problem as they are all trying to cut down their expenses as regards the salary so that they can attempt to other developmental projects. This is major reason why SUBEB STAFFS are suffering.
Even the last administration attempted to reverse the ugly situations she caused but was unable to do so because she lacked political will of true governance.
It will be helpful as part of the ways to bring normalcy to the system for speedy development as this government is trying to set.
I hope if this government can be swiftly address this situation, it will definitely create a ground for speed development right from the local government and earn this administration more respect as the government that matching her words with positive actions..KWASUBEB should smiles not dying silently as their counterpart in teaching service commission looks them with an eyes of inferior.
God Bless Kwara state and May Gov.A.A succed.
