Has Alh. Lai Muhammed forgot that Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq was not just an ordinary card-carrying member of CPC but the party gubernatorial candidate in the 2011 general election, the same party he remained with and played active roles when the then ACN, CPC, ANPP and part of APGA (Sen. Rochas Okorocha faction to be precise) merged to form APC in February, 2013.
May I also remind Alh. Lai Muhammed that, the underhand dealings in the sales of APC to the Sarakis in 2014 is a well-known fact with accurate figures of the negotiations which is an open secret to some political gladiators still alive.
While Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq single handedly funded CPC as a party in Kwara state, he also donated generously to President Muhammadu Buhari Campaign Organisation during the 2011 general election.
Perhaps Alh. Lai Muhammed may have to be reminded of how he mismanaged the campaign funds that passed through him from Lagos to the then gubernatorial candidate of ACN, Muhammed Dele Belgore in that 2011 general election. Active players are still very much alive.
History has a way of judging the past and this lead to one asking Alh. Lai Mohammed on which side of the divide (Progressive or Oligarchy) he was in 2015.
Was he on the side of the truth with the progressive kwarans to which he’s now claiming its championship against the despotic ruling of Kwara state by an oligarchic family or on his usual treacherous lane, when Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq single handedly fought for kwarans especially at the central to challenge Bukola Saraki at the Election Petition Tribunal up to the Appeal Court in the kwara Senatorial District election of 2015, records are there for the concerned.
Alh. Lai Mohammed should know that, some people are students of history and history never forget the past to shape the future.
Hence, whatever Alh. Lai Mohammed calls himself today, history will surely judge him accordingly.
Alh. Lai Muhammed’s role in playing down the petition against him on the first tranche of campaign funds released by Rotimi Amaechi led Buhari/Osibajo Campaign Organisation as D.G is still very fresh in the memory of some people who are still alive.
May I at this juncture quickly ask Alh. Lai Mohammed how and from where he recruited his 2,300 canvassers for the APC PCC when he was not even a member of the campaign committee headed by Mal. Nuhu Ribadu at the central and my good self as the Kwara State Coordinator (Field Operation Directorate) on the nomination of H.E Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq.
It was on this premise that we built structures for federal, state, local and ward with loyal members who are Coordinators and Canvassers with genuine supporters down to each polling units in Kwara state to the tune of over 100,000 valid voters for the 2019 general election at the federal, state and local government constituencies.
What was Alh. Lai Muhammed contribution to this effort of H.E Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq who recognises the contribution of the Turaki of Ilorin, Alh. Salihu Mustapha who donated his campaign office at fate roundabout to this cause that some people are now arrogating the glory to their singular efforts.
There are a lot of cans of worms about Alh. Lai Muhammed personality hence, he should desist from derogating the people’s Governor, otherwise, he would be reminded of how and where he got and shared the first money that was released in the prosecution of the by-election of Hon. Raheem Ajuloopin of his federal constituency in 2018.
Therefore, Alh. Lai Muhammed Egungun should be very careful because nah expressway he dey go.
