The Oloye Akogun Educational Summit 2025 was held on Monday at the National Evangelical Fellowship Hall, Shao, featuring teachers, youths, professionals and community leaders from across the kingdom to celebrate a year of remarkable excellence recorded by Akogun of Shao Kingdom.
The summit, tagged “Free Workshop on Personal and Professional Development,” was organised as part of activities marking one year of impactful leadership, mentorship and community-oriented service by Oloye Akogun since assuming the revered traditional title.
In his address, Oloye Akogun, represented by Elder Oladunni Emmanuel Kehinde reaffirmed his commitment to educational advancement, capacity building and youth empowerment, describing education as a critical tool for sustainable development and social transformation in Shao Kingdom and beyond.
He noted that the summit was designed to equip participants with valuable skills, positive values and career-oriented knowledge required to thrive.
The event featured lectures and motivational talks focused on personal growth, leadership development, career planning, entrepreneurship and professional excellence.
The guest lecturers drawn from the education and professional sectors shared insights on self-development, goal setting and ethical leadership, while participants engaged in hands-on discussions and experience-sharing.
Ohoro of Shao, Oba Dr. Obalowu Atolagbe Ayanwole IV, KWHA Member representing Oloru/Ipaye/Malete Constituency, Hon. Chief Lawal Ayanshola, TESCOM Chairman, and other Community leaders and stakeholders at the summit commended Akogun for his visionary leadership and consistent investment in human capital development, describing the initiative as timely and impactful. They noted that the summit reflects a deep commitment to nurturing talents and preparing the younger generation for future responsibilities.
They called for unity among the people of Moro local government as the 2027 election is fast approaching, while calling on Kwarans to support Kwara North for key positions in the state and at National level.
The Educational Summit ended with a renewed call for collective support towards education, unity and continuous development, as participants expressed appreciation for the free workshop and pledged to apply the knowledge gained for personal and community growth.
