The Honourable Representing Ilorin East/South Local Government Area of Kwara State at the Federal Constituency, Hon. AbdulGaniyu Cook Olododo, on Saturday, empowered 400 Constituents in the two Local Governments.
The empowerment program was officially flagged off by Hon. Omolaja Bolarinwa, held at River Niger Basin, Ilorin featured artisans of different category
Hon. AbdulGaneey, who is the Chairman of the House Committee on National Planning and Economy Development explained that the program aims to encourage entrepreneurship and to enhance community development, also eradicate poverty.
The beneficiaries which include fashion designers, hairdressers, vulcanizers, others, had initially undergone training
The items distributed were complete manual sewing machine, industrial machine, generator, complete grinding machine, deep freezer, hairdressing equipment, vulcanizing machine, popcorn machine, and cash for each 400 beneficiaries
Hon. Cook, while addressing the beneficiaries urges them to make use of the equipment for its purposes.
“While shunning from selling off what given to them”, he added.
He further explained that boreholes, classrooms, and hospitals have been done in his Constituency.
He, however, maintained that a similar program will hold next weekend
Some of the beneficiaries, while conducting an interview commended his great work, adding that the equipment will be used judiciously for its purposes
