Offa PDP Crisis: Hon. Danlad Dumps PDP, Announces New Party

Following the lingering crisis in Peoples’ Democratic Party ( PDP ) in Offa Local Government, a philanthropist and former House of Representatives Member, Hon. Tope Olayonu Danlad has decamped to Accord Party.

The latest development was revealed by Tajudeen Hammed, S.A Media to Honorable Danlad,

The statement reads in part,

“To participate in a modern democracy, Hon. Dr. Tope Olayonu Danlad picked the accord party membership card at the accord party secretariat, Ilorin, Kwara State.

“…base on the survey about the interest of the electorates to provide a better environment for the people of my constituency and Kwara state at large. That is why I Hon. Tope Olayonu Olarinoye Danlad announce my interest to be among the progressive team that will liberate the good people of Offa, Oyun, and Ifelodun…”

Recall that the Peoples’ Democratic Party in Offa Local Government had earlier suspended Hon. Danlad from the party shortly after losing the House of Representatives ticket to Hon. Hassan Oyeleke. A source from the party also revealed that the suspension was as a result of the attack on Hon. Hassan Oyeleke’s residence in G.R.A Offa by aggrieved members of the party who also destroyed the party secretariat to express displeasure over the alleged imposition of candidates.
