The Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) has announced a landmark partnership with MIDAS IT, India, to provide engineering software worth over USD 17.4 million to 15 Nigerian universities.

According to the National President of NSE, Engr. Margaret Aina Oguntala, who made the announcement on her official social media pages on Wednesday and shared by Vice Chairman NSE Ilorin Branch, Engr Kazeem Ahmed Jatto and monitored by Just Event Online TV , the strategic collaboration aims to advance engineering education and research across the country by empowering students and lecturers with cutting-edge digital tools in civil, structural, and geotechnical engineering.

Engr. Oguntala explained that each beneficiary university will receive 25 licenses each of MIDAS Civil, MIDAS Gen, and MIDAS GTS NX software, along with monthly training sessions and faculty development programs to ensure effective utilization.

She described the initiative as a significant step in bridging the gap between theory and practice, equipping Nigeria’s future engineers with modern technological skills to compete globally.

> “This is more than a donation—it is an investment in innovation, education, and the future of our profession,” Engr. Oguntala stated. “Together, we are shaping the next generation of resilient and resourceful Nigerian engineers.”

She commended MIDAS IT for its generous contribution and partnership, emphasizing that the initiative aligns with NSE’s vision of nurturing world-class engineers capable of driving sustainable national development.
