NSCDC Omu Aran Division meets with Stakeholders to Protect Critical National Assets


In a bid to safeguard critical national assets, the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Omu Aran Division organized a stakeholders meeting, which held earlier today.

The meeting brought together representatives from various organizations, including Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC), Licensed Electrical Contractor Association of Nigeria (LECAN), Association of Scavengers, Oil Dealers Association of Nigeria, and the Omu Aran Traditional Council.

Divisional Officer of Omu Aran Division, SC Ayinla Dauda, emphasized the importance of protecting national assets, such as transformers, , Railway slipper, oil and water pipelines, and other critical infrastructure, from vandalism and theft.

He warned that the NSCDC would not tolerate any social vices or criminal acts in Omu Aran and urged stakeholders to report any suspicious activities immediately.

Ayinla stressed that the ‘I don’t care’ attitude towards government properties must end, and warned oil marketers, scavengers, electrical contractors, and others against purchasing stolen or vandalized items, stating that those caught would face the full force of the law.

He commended the NSCDC Commandant Kwara Command for his dedication and commitment toward securing the lives and properties of Kwarans

Stakeholders commended the NSCDC for organizing the timely meeting and pledged to work together to protect the city of Omu Aran and its environs.

They acknowledged the importance of protecting critical national assets and vowed to support the NSCDC in its efforts to prevent vandalism and theft.
