NSCDC, Navy collaborate to protect public facilities in Anambra

The Anambra State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Mr Edwin Osuala has stated the command’s resolve to strengthen collaboration with the Nigerian Navy in the protection of critical national assets and infrastructure in the state.

Osuala stated that the collaboration will also strengthen the fight against illegal oil dealings, and facility vandalism in the state.

He stated these on Wednesday when he visited the Naval Commander, Nigerian Navy Outpost in Onitsha, Navy Captain Godfrey Osuobeni.

This is according to a statement by the Public Relations Officer, NSCDC, Anambra State Command, DSC Okadigbo Edwin on Thursday.

Osuala added that the visit was premised on the need for NSCDC, as the lead agency in charge of the protection of critical national assets and infrastructure, to cement the long-term existing relationship with the Nigerian Navy, which he reaffirmed remains a critical partner in the fight against illegal dealings in petroleum products.
