Nigeria records seven COVID-19 deaths, 249 new cases across 14 states, FCT
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control on Monday reported 249 new COVID-19 cases across 14 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
The agency also reported seven additional COVID-19 related deaths.
According to the data released by the NCDC official website, Lagos recorded the highest figures for new infections for the day with 59 cases.
Adamawa reported 46 cases of the virus, followed by Imo – 37, FCT – 30, Kwara – 14, Rivers – 13.
Also, Kaduna recorded 10 cases of the virus, followed by Taraba with 9 cases, Cross River – 8, Bauchi – 7, Niger – 5, Delta – 4, Ogun – 4, Nasarawa – 2, Kano – 1.
The reported 249 new infections have brought the total number of confirmed cases to 251,178 while 224,629 people have recovered and have been discharged.
However, with seven COVID-19 related deaths recorded for the day, the death toll from the virus now stands at 3,110, according to the agency.
