His Excellency, mallam Abdulrahaman Abdulrasaq, the Executive Governor of Kwara state received in the audience, Commandant Muhammed Tukur Ibrahim, the new state Commandant of Nigerian Security Civil Defence Corps

The Commandant was received by the Governor at the presidential Lodge of the kwara state government House, Ilorin.
Commandant Tukur appreciates the Governor for his support towards the corps and his selfless service to the state of harmony. He promised to collaborate with other security agencies in fighting the menace of Banditry, terrorism, kidnapping and drug-related crimes. He solicited more support for the corps, especially in the area of logistics and befitting permanent office for the corps
In His response, the Governor commends the efforts of the corps in providing security for the state. He urged the Commandant to keep the flag flying to justify the confidence reposed on the corps by society.
He expressed his utmost concern on the spate of banditry, kidnapping and Farmer/Herders clashes. He urged the Commandant to foster more collaborations to fight the underlined issues. He promised to look into the requests of the commandant
