The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency has seized not less than 115,244.23kg illicit drugs of illicit drugs from January to March 2024, Saturday PUNCH has learnt.
The NDLEA also arrested 4,329 drug traffickers, 1,356 cases were charged to court, and 1,018 convictions were secured within the period.
These figures were contained in data obtained exclusively by our correspondent from the agency.
A breakdown of the data revealed that 71,150.46kg of cannabis, 76.36kg of cocaine, 77.86kg of heroin, 12.35kg of methamphetamine, 1,833.23kg of Tramadol, 7.19kg of rohypnol, 3,461.60kg of codeine, 215.27kg of diazepam, and 3,490.51kg other illicit drugs were seized from January to March.
It also noted that 34,919.39kg of cannabis farms were destroyed within the period.
