The National President, National Council for Women Societies, Lami Adamu-Lau, has urged Nigerians to bridge ethno-religious divides and embrace the spirit of reconciliation.
Adamu-Lau made the call in her Easter message on Sunday in Abuja.
She noted the significance of Easter celebration, stressing the need to imbibe the values to build a stronger and more prosperous Nigeria.
“This Easter, let us rededicate ourselves to the values Easter embodies, which is love, compassion, forgiveness, and service to others.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports the NCWS national president also encouraged women to reflect on their strength and resilience to make a positive impact on society.
“Let us draw inspiration from the story of the women who followed Jesus to the cross and were the first witnesses to his resurrection,” she said.
