Six states reported 55 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, according to figures released on Monday by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control.
The agency did not report any new COVID-19 related death.
The NCDC disclosed this on its official website on Monday.
Lagos recorded the highest number of new infections with 37 cases followed by Edo – 6, Osun – 5, Oyo – 4, Ogun – 2, and Ekiti – 1.
The health agency said the 55 new cases of COVID-19 infections have brought the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country to 214,622.
However, 207, 450 COVID-19 patients have recovered and have been discharged in the country, the agency said.
With no additional COVID-19 related death reported, the death toll from the virus still stands at 2,980, NCDC said.
It added that a multi-sectoral national Emergency Operations Centre, activated at Level 2, had continued to coordinate the national response activities.
