The National Association of Kwara State Students NAKSS, Kwara College of Arabic and Islamic Legal Studies, CAILS Chapter on Wednesday holds a public lecture and award presentation, in honour of the retired Permanent Secretary for Tertiary Institution, Hajia Hafusat Jummai AbdulRahman
Hajia Hafusat was described as a woman of dignity and honor, added that the award given to her was well deserved considering her efforts towards the success of the students
Speaking at the event, The principal lecturer in the dept. of English Language, Kwara CAILS, Mrs. Umar Taiye Hassanah while addressing students on importance of unionism said, in every institution, unionism perform critical roles in assisting students in their academic pursuit. She maintained that union leaders must put the affairs of those they are representing at first
Mrs. Umar further maintained that unionism helps to develop leadership skills, adding that it give voice to the students.
The Deputy Provost, Kwara CAILS, Barr. KK. Ibrahim Eletu, charged the students to always work in unity and also urged them to be of good conduct wherever they find themselves
The retired Permanent Secretary for Tertiary Institution, Hajia Hafusat Jummai AbdulRahman, ably represented by Mr Afolayan JB expressed delight on the honour bestowed on her.
He charged the students to be of best behavior and prayed for their success in all walks of life
The commissioner for Tertiary Institution, Senior, Barr. Ibrahim Sulaiman, ably represented by Pastor Olagunju Felix said, Hajia Hafusat is a woman of honour and her tenure is unique. He however, commended the students, added that, they should focus on their studies in order to be excel.
NAKSS President, Kwara CAILS Chapter, Sen. Abdulwahab Adeniyi Habeeb said, Hjia Afusat has always proved to be a mother in all ramifications, saying the award was well deserved considering her efforts towards their academic success.
He however urged the students to always promote love, and shun all forms of social vices
