Naira Redesign: L.O Atinuke Filling station rejects old notes

 

As the State governments and the police begun clamping down on traders, supermarkets, and business owners accused of rejecting the old naira notes across the states, L.O Atinuke Filling station in Alagbado Area of Ilorin in the late hours of Monday, is rejecting the old notes thereby causing distress among motorists, other people

Supreme Court on Wednesday ordered against the Central Bank of Nigeria banning the Bank from going ahead with its deadline for the end of use of the old naira 200, 500 and 1000

Just Event Online correspondent, observed that only the L O Atinuke filling station is rejecting the notes in that axis which makes people begin to be scared

Speaking to one of the motorists at the filling station who pleaded anonymity, said the filling station is adding to the hardship in the town

Another man, who is a tricycle operator, Wahab Ayegbajeje said the action of the filling station is totally against the law of the nation

Kwarans however called the attention of Kwara state Governor AbdulRaman AbdulRazaq for necessary action before it gets out of hand

As at the time of filing this report, all efforts to speak with the management of the filling station proved abortive.
