Reports had revealed that one kid and two adults were severely hit by two tricycles at different times on the same spot along Kaiama road in Popo-Igbono community in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.
At the early hour of Tuesday, a tricycle operator, Luku had rammed into a girl named Baidohu while on her way to school.
Eyewitnesses while narrating the story to JUST EVENT ONLINE News, said the girl was hit on the head, people from within took her to the nearest hospital in the area before being rejected and later referred to the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital, UITH where she’s currently receiving treatments.
Similarly, in the late hour of Tuesday, two adults with an undisclosed name were hit at the same spot. An eyewitness confirmed that the trio is in the hospital, noting that their present condition remains unknown to the people.
Residents of the community, reacting to the incident block the main road lamented that it has been a constant occurrence on the road due to recklessness of the tricycle operators which at times lead to loss of lives.
They, however, seek for Kwara State Government’s proactive measures on the constant calamities that the tricycle operators are inflicting on the lives of people in the society.
Efforts to reach the victims of the accident proved abortive at the time of filing this report.
