Moro APC Executives Pass Vote of Confidence on Governor AbdulRazaq, Await His Directive on 2027

Executives and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Moro Local Government Area of Kwara State have declared their unwavering loyalty and passed a vote of confidence on Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, affirming their commitment to his leadership and awaiting his direction ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The endorsement came during a well-attended meeting held in the Shao Town area of Moro LGA on Wednesday, The gathering included all 27 local government executives and 17 ward executives, with discussions lasting approximately one hour.

Speaking with Just Event Online TV at the meeting, the APC Secretary in Moro, Mallam Sulaiman A. Raji (Dan Kano), reiterated the unwavering support of the party in Moro for Governor AbdulRazaq.

Since inception, we have stood firmly behind the governor. We reaffirm our loyalty today and make it clear that we will only take political steps in 2027 once he gives us the go-ahead,” he said.

Raji commended the governor for numerous developmental projects across the state, especially in Moro LGA, and stated that the party would continue to align with the governor’s vision for a prosperous Kwara.

He also pleaded to gov AbdulRahman to consider Kwara North for governorship come 2027 election to equity and fairness to be sustained

Also speaking, Mallam Jimoh Tunde M., who serves as Chairman of all Ward Chairmen in Moro, assured the governor of full grassroots support. “All our ward chairmen are 100 percent loyal to the governor. He should have no worries when it comes to Moro. We delivered 100 percent in 2019 and 2023—we will do the same in 2027,” he affirmed.

In her remarks, Shao Ward Women Leader, Ajibade Omosebi, appreciated Governor AbdulRazaq for his commitment to women inclusion in governance. She specifically thanked him for appointing Hajia Mariam Abdulwasiu as Moro LGA Council Chairperson, and promised continued support from women across the local government.
