MOK Foundation Gives WAEC Scholarship to 130 Indigent Students in Offa, Oyun LGs


A non governmental organization, MOK Foundation has bestowed WAEC scholarship to 130 less indigent students in Offa, Oyun Local Government Areas of Kwara State.

That act was part of the Foundation’s effort to bring development to education sector in the state, thereby bringing succor to the less privilege.

MOK Foundation is saddled with the responsibilities of creating a better and more equitable world for all, especially the people of Offa, Oyun and some other parts of Kwara.

In his opening address, the Founder, Muyideen Okunlola Kayode ably represented by Saheed Lawal restated that the foundation focus more on the people at the grassroots, less privileged, indigents and the people living with disabilities

He said it has contributed greatly to Education, Security, Education, healthcare support, youth and sport among others.

He urged all parents and guardian to support their wards in their education pursuit.

Speaking at the event, Proprietor, Lens Polytechnic Offa, Dr. Issa Azeez in his lecture, admonished the students on the importance of having vision and mission.

He urged them to always maintain their integrity, resilience for them to become a better version of themselves now and the nearest future.

Also speaking, the SA to Kwara Gov on Education, Dr. Adetola Ariyike Salau charged the beneficiary students to channel their energy on positivity, assuring them of brighter future.

She also enjoined them to shun the mindset of impossibility in their academic career and work towards shaping their future and be able to impact meaningfully to the society.

The event was graced by High Chief Isiak Adebayo Shittu, Chief O.O. Oyawoye ANCOPS Secretary Offa LG, Mr. Gbadamosi Kazeem, Mr Seun Oyelade, Dr. Ikeola Suhurat Olatinwo, Former SA Special Duties Hon. Waheed Olanrewaju Alenuloro, Hon. Tunde Salahu and Alh. Omotosho Surajudeen, among others.
