Mohammed Alabi Lawal Foundation Awards Scholarship To One Hundred And Twenty Students In Ilorin

In continuation of its desire to educate the youths and make education accessible to everyone in Ilorin East Local Government Area, the Muhammed Alabi Lawal Foundation awarded scholarship to one hundred and twenty students in the local government.

It could be recalled that the foundation, which flags its activities in 2022, had earlier awarded scholarship to one hundred and ten students in the local government last year.

Aminat Alabeleye, who spoke on behalf of 2022 beneficiaries appreciated Hon. Arinola for the creation of the scholarship scheme and encouraged the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the opportunity.

In continuation of the scholarship scheme, the foundation in its 2023 edition increased the scholarship scheme, awarding scholarship to one hundred and twenty students.

Speaking at the event which took place at Idi Ape, the state party chairman, prince sunday Fagbemi commended the sponsor of the event, Hon. Arinola Fatimoh Lawal and tasked the beneficiaries to make use of the opportunity.

In her remarks, the face of the foundation, Honourable Arinola Lawal acknowledged the presence of the dignintaries and stated that the gesture is in memory of her father, late Governor, Rear Admiral Mohammed Alabi Lawal.

She commended Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his effort to reform the educational sector in Kwara and his dedication to ensure the participation of women in politics.

Hon. Arinola explained that the scholarship includes the payment of first, second, third term tuition fee and payment of their WAEC examination.

She added that the goal of the scholarship scheme is to help the students and their parents in the pursuit of educational goals and keep them away from nefarious acts.

Beneficiaries, Abdulqudus AbdulSalam and Safar AbdulRahman, who spoke on behalf of others also appreciated Hon. Arinola Fatimoh Lawal for the gesture, stating that the opportunity will be utilized.

Mrs. Ajibike, who spoke on behalf of the parents appreciated Hon. Arinola and stated that the gesture will ease the burden on parents considering the current economic situation in the country.

Dignintaries present at the event include Former SA Stretagy to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, Alhaji Sa’adu Salauden, representative of Senator Soliu Mustapha, Kwara House of Assembly members, Hon. Rasak Owolabi, Hon. Mariam Aladi, Commissioner for Solid Minerals Development, Malam Abdulquiwiy Olododo, APC Party Chairman, Prince Sunday Fagbemi, APC State secretary, Alhaji Mustapha Isowo, APC state woman leader, Alhaja Falilat, Magaaji Aare of Ilorin, Alhaji Shuaib Aremu Zubair, Baba Isale of Ilorin, Alhaji Abdullahi Sodeeq, and Magaaji Alalubosa, Alhaji Olohunisomo.

Others include, APC Chairman Ilorin East, Comrade Habeeb Lawal, TIC Vice Chairman ilorin East, Alhaji Awayewaserere, and All Ilorin East Twelve Wards, and Central Working Committee.
