May 29: Military committed to Nigeria’s democracy growth -CDS

The Chief of Defence Staff, General Lucky Irabor has assured Nigerians of the military’s commitment to the growth of democracy in the country.

He added that the military in collaboration with other security agencies would stop at nothing to ensure the country is adequately secured as part of its effort to contribute to the development of the country.

Irabor spoke at the regimental dinner organised for the outgoing president, Mohammadu Buhari on Tuesday night in Abuja.

The event is part of the activities lined up for the handover ceremony for President-elect, Bola Tinubu.

He however, pledged the military’s loyalty to the president and constitution as Buhari bows out of office.
