Let’s think outside box to solve Nigeria’s challenges, Abbas urges NESG

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, emphasised the need for innovative thinking and collaboration with non-governmental and civil society organizations to address Nigeria’s socio-economic challenges.

He expressed this during a courtesy visit by a delegation from the Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG), led by Dr Tayo Aduloju, at his office in the National Assembly Complex in Abuja.

The Speaker stated, “We need to put on our thinking caps and think outside the box to be able to proffer solutions to the numerous challenges facing the country. We are looking forward to more ideas and more initiatives.”

He further mentioned that the 10th House would come up with a robust Legislative Agenda that would guide its activities in the next four years, calling on all stakeholders to key into it.

Earlier, Dr Aduloju recalled the NESG’s legislative gap assessment, which aimed to identify obstacles to Nigeria’s economic growth.

The assessment identified 115 ‘NASSBER bills in both the Senate and the House that could make a significant difference.
