Lens Poly Offa Management Clears Air On Viral Video Of Female Student

The attention of the management has been drawn to a viral video of a young female student who was allegedly used for a ritual on Saturday, July 13, 2024.

The victim was captured on the street at a very late hour in the night, which made it difficult to trace where the incident occurred and the culprits who perpetrated this evil act.

The management, having confirmed the victim to be our student, swung into action with security agents ( Nigeria Police Force and OPC), after investigations, the management confirmed that the victim was lured by a cleric who conspired with a bike man. The cleric identified by the victim has been arrested for further investigation.

The management uses this medium to clear the public that the culprits (alleged bike man and cleric) have no relationship with the Lens Polytechnic Offa. The victim, who is now stable and united with her parents, only mentioned the name of our reputable institution while unconscious in a weird display.

The management somberly and again condemns this height of wickedness in strong terms. It is depressing that our society has been polluted by evil elements who have gone haywire to amass wealth at all costs, resulting in ritual killings, kidnapping, and robbery.

For record purposes, Lens Polytechnic Offa has been at the forefront as one of the institutions in Nigeria that frowns against cybercrime (Yahoo Yahoo), hooliganism, gangsterism and cultism with the series of sensitization programmes and campaigns within the Polytechnic and the host community. The Polytechnic management on different platforms emphasized decent dressing, modesty and morality. Attached is a media link to the Management’s total abhorrence of social vices, indecent dressing, night crawling, prostitution and illegal gathering.

The institution has maintained an unsullied reputation over the years as one of the best private Polytechnics in Nigeria who have produced graduates worthy of learning and character. It is on record that the Polytechnic has produced graduates who have represented the country in sports at national and international levels and will continue to uphold the standard through skills, knowledge, and ethics.

Lens Polytechnic community consists of people who are dedicated and committed to moral principles and practices; in all ramifications, the welfare, and safety of our students remain our utmost priority and will be jealously guided.
